Springz Trampoline Park

Springz Trampoline ParkFew things bring me as much pure joy as jumping on a trampoline. While I don’t know anyone who owns one, I can feel that joy and pretend I’m a goofy kid again at Springz Trampoline Park, located in Zap Zone Lansing (near the Lansing Mall). Springz has two giant rooms full of trampolines where you can bounce to your heart’s content. There are baskets and balls, and a pit full of foam cubes if you’re not content to just jump up and down.

It’s incredibly fun to go with adult friends and get drinks after (definitely after, not before), or to take kids who needs to burn off some steam. Occasionally, I go alone and get the entire place to myself to enjoy some low-impact exercise to the beat of the high-energy music they pipe in.

Springz Trampoline ParkTips:

  • Go on Tuesday! It’s half off—just $4 for 25 minutes. That might not sound like much time, but it’s an eternity when you’re bouncing. (Follow them on Facebook for additional specials.)
  • Wear non-slip socks. If you don’t have a pair, they’ll cost you a couple bucks the first time you go, but you can re-use them next time you’re jumping.
  • Unless you want to spend the entire time holding your shirt down and your pants up, wear a belt and don’t wear a loose-fitting shirt.
  • For $1 (plus another dollar deposit), you can get a locker to store all your stuff while you jump.

A few extra tips for the over-40 crowd:

  • Stop at the bathroom first. Your bladder will thank you.
  • Take some ibuprofen before going to bed!
